Schnitzer Steel Industries Posts Higher Fiscal Q3 Earnings, Revenue

Schnitzer Steel Industries (SCHN) reported fiscal Q3 earnings Wednesday of $2.59 per diluted share, up from $2.20 per share a year ago.

Three analysts surveyed by Capital IQ projected normalized EPS of $2.30.

Revenue for the quarter ended May 31 was $1.01 billion, up from $821 million a year ago. Two analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $903.5 million.

Shares of the company rose more than 4% in recent premarket trading activity on Wednesday.
