Covetrus Says it Gets Proposal From Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, TPG Global to Buy Shares for $21 per Share

Covetrus (CVET) said Friday it has received a non-binding proposal from Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and TPG Global to buy all of its outstanding shares for $21 per share.

The animal health products company said that before receiving the proposal it had granted Clayton, Dubilier & Rice a limited waiver of the standstill restrictions in an investment agreement from April 2020 to allow its submission.

Covetrus shares were up 14% in recent early Friday morning trading.
