Duke Energy's (DUK) Duke Energy Sustainable Solutions brand said Thursday it has started construction of the Jackpot Solar project in Twin Falls County, Idaho, its first utility-scale renewable energy project in the state.

The 120-megawatt project is expected to achieve commercial operation by the end of 2022 and will provide energy to IDACORP (IDA) unit Idaho Power under a 20-year deal, Duke Energy said.

Jackpot Solar is set to become the largest solar facility in operation in Idaho once completed, according to the company.

Duke Energy shares were up 1% in recent trading.
