Charah Solutions Closes Acquisition of Avon Lake Generating Station in Ohio

Charah Solutions (CHRA) said late Monday it closed its acquisition of the Avon Lake Generating Station and adjacent property from GenOn.

Avon Lake is a 627-megawatt coal-fired plant located in Ohio.

The company said its Avon Lake Environmental Redevelopment Group unit will be responsible for the shutdown and decommissioning of the plant and performing environmental remediation and redevelopment work at the site.
