Alector Names Chief Medical Officer

Alector (ALEC) said Tuesday that it has named Dr. Gary Romano as chief medical officer, effective May 23.

According to the company, Romano will lead the company's global clinical development strategy, including oversight of clinical development, clinical operations, biometrics and digital science, and medical affairs functions.

Shares were up about 3% in the after-hours session.
