Quantum Says Pacific Investment Management Acquires 9.5% Stake

Quantum (QMCO) said in a Monday filing that Pacific Investment Management Co. now owns a 9.5% stake in the company as it has acquired about 6.4 million of its shares and warrants.

The key reason for the acquisition is investment purposes. Pacific Investment Management Co. can buy common shares and other securities from Quantum or may dispose of any or all of such securities held by it at any time, the filing said.

Quantum shares were up 0.4% in recent premarket trading.
