Netflix (NFLX) slumped 20%. While profit and revenue rose in Q4, the streaming media company guided for global paid net additions of only 2.5 million in the March quarter.
Peloton Interactive (PTON) advanced nearly 7%. The exercise equipment maker fell 24% on Thursday after announcing a halt in the manufacturing of its connected fitness products in response to tepid demand. The company reported preliminary fiscal Q2 revenue of $1.14 billion, compared with a consensus analyst forecast of $1.15 billion.
Tesla (TSLA) dipped 0.4% a day after website Electrek reported that the automaker recently applied to extend its trademark to headphones and other audio gear.
AMC Entertainment (AMC) was marginally higher while Apple (AAPL) slipped 0.7%. Morgan Stanley said in an analysts' note on Thursday that the company should top consensus estimates due to heightened demand for its handsets.
Palantir (PLTR) retreated 1.3% and Microsoft (MSFT) was up just 0.2%. SoFi Technologies (SOFI) gained 0.7% after a 9% jump in Thursday's session. Robinhood Markets (HOOD) was off 1%, while BlackBerry (BB) was down 0.5%. ContextLogic (WISH) rose 0.8% pre-bell after a 2% gain on Thursday.
