Canopy Growth (CGC) fell hard on both sides of the US border on Monday after Piper Sandler cut its stock rating for the Canadian cannabis company to underweight from neutral and also lowered its price target for Canopy Growth shares by $4 to $7 apiece, saying there is room for an even greater downside as sales trends remain under pressure.
Canopy Growth shares were sinking 10.4% in US trading and were down 9.5% on the Toronto Stock Exchange this afternoon, falling to its lowest share price since September 2017.
