Ziff Davis (ZD) unit Ookla said Tuesday it acquired RootMetrics, which provides network drive testing and analytics services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ookla is behind the Speedtest network testing platform, as well as Downdetector, which tracks web service outages.
