Revenue was $2.99 billion for the quarter ended Oct. 2, compared with $2.74 billion a year ago. The consensus estimate of analysts polled by Capital IQ was $3.16 billion.
The company said it now expects 2021 adjusted EPS to be between $3.20 and $3.30, compared with its prior outlook of between $3 and $3.20. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ project adjusted EPS of $3.31.
Shares of the company rose more than 2% ahead of Thursday's market open.
