The test will reportedly allow McPlant burger orders for a limited time, beginning Nov. 3 for customers based in Irving, Texas, and Manhattan Beach, California, among others. McDonald's already sells the McPlant burgers in certain countries, including Austria and the UK.
"The cost of the McPlant burger will be on par with McDonald's other burgers during the US test," the report said.
McDonald's shares were up 0.6% in morning trading while Beyond Meat stock was trading 1.4% higher.
