Viacom is expected to complete its merger with S&P 500 constituent CBS (CBS) soon. The company will change its name to ViacomCBS and trade on the NASDAQ stock exchange using the ticker VIAC.
Also effective before trading begins on Dec. 5, insurance underwriter RLI (RLI) will take the place of WR Berkley in the S&P MidCap 400, and real estate developer St. Joe (JOE) will replace RLI in the S&P SmallCap 600.
Greenwich, Conn.-based WR Berkley will be added to the S&P 500 Global Industry Classification Standard Property & Casualty Insurance Sub-Industry index. Peoria, Ill.-based RLI will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS Property & Casualty Insurance Sub-Industry index. Watersound, Fla.-based St. Joe will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Diversified Real Estate Activities Sub-Industry index.
