Fiddelke has assumed many roles in more than 15 years at Target, having served most recently as senior vice president of operations, the company said in a statement.
Fiddelke succeeds Cathy Smith who announced her plans to retire earlier this year. The company said Smith will start serving as a strategic advisor on Nov.1 and will remain in the capacity until May 1 to ensure a smooth transition.
