Energy giants were mixed in Wednesday's pre-market trading. West Texas Intermediate crude oil for July delivery was down $0.19 at $53.71 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. The global benchmark Brent crude August contract lost $0.47 to $61.67 per barrel and July natural gas futures were 2 cents higher at $2.35 per 1 million BTU. Among energy-related ETFs, the United States Oil Fund was down 0.80%, while the United States Natural Gas fund was 1.01% higher.

(=) Enbridge (ENB) could face more delays in constructing its $2.6 billion Line 3 oil pipeline project, as the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources said the Public Utilities Commission needs to address an Environmental Impact Statement deficiency identified in a Minnesota Court of Appeals' remand. Enbridge was unchanged after the news.
(-) TechnipFMC (FTI) was slightly lower after saying it won a number of subsea contracts from Anadarko Petroleum (APC) for its Golfinho/Atum liquefied natural gas project in Mozambique.
(+) Profire Energy (PFIE) was up more than 10% after saying its wholly owned Profire Combustion subsidiary acquired substantially all of the assets of Millstream Energy Products, adding between $1 million and $2 million in annual revenues.
