Ingevity's chemicals division is enjoying "strong paving demand and a return to stability in the Permian basin," Oppenheimer said in a note to clients, with "[s]trength in oilfield production [likely to] offset any slowdown in drilling." The materials unit, meanwhile, is adopting China 6 emission standards early. The company's new absorbed natural gas vehicle "holds promise," and its integration of UK-based Capa is "on pace," the brokerage added, with Capa expected to retain shipping and raw material advantages even after a Brexit.
Oppenheimer has an outperform rating on the stock.
