S&P 500 constituents Fox Corporation (FOXA 34.47, +2.38, +7.42%), Twitter (TWTR 50.04, +2.20, +4.60%), and Seagate Tech (STX 63.73, +2.54m, +4.15%) are outperforming. A dearth of corporate news has FOXA trading higher with communication services (XLC 69.93, +0.69, +1.00%) peers, while TWTR announced the settlement of a shareholder derivative lawsuit and said it had acquired Revue.

Conversely, Milwaukee-based machine part manufacturer Rockwell Automation (ROK 249.76, -11.09, -4.25%) sits near the bottom of the index after this morning's Q1 report showed underwhelming sales for the last three months.
